Rowad ABS
Sheets (RABSS) is an engineering thermoplastic.
This is also technically called as Terpolymer of Acrylonitrile,
Butadiene & Styrene monomers. These three components contribute
different sets of useful properties to the sheet. Acrylonitrile
brings chemical resistance and heat stability. Butadiene provides
impact resistance & toughness, Styrene ensures rigidity
and easy processing.
Size
RABSS
is available in the following sizes
Length :
Unlimited but normally 3 meters is more common in use.
Width :
up to 2.05 meter.
Thickness
: 2-15
mm, Higher thickness is possible if required.
Applications
RABSS
has a wide range of applications such as: Refrigerator inner liners,
automobile components, internal doors, luggage and house wares,
sanitary wares, cosmetic packing, artificial stone moulds, telecommunication
components, Appliances, Tools, Toys etc.
Properties
Mechanical:
by changing the percentage of the three major monomers and using
addititives, the mechanical properties of RABSS
can be varied to meet the customer requirements.
Weatherability : RABSS can withstand prolonged periods
of exposure to weather and sunlight without yellowness and stress
cracking due to the presence of UV stabilizers and protective
covers.
Fabrication
& Installation : Drilling, Threading, taping, routing, and
machining operations are easy to perform on RABSS.
It
shows good color with a high degree of gloss .
Chemical:
RABSS is unaffected by dilute acids, bases, oils,
greases & foodstuffs.
Electrical
: RABSS shows good insulation properties.
Standard
Colors: RABSS is available in white and other
colors as per customer requirements.
